There are four weeks left in the school year. The Nathan Hale field trip has been changed (for our team) to Friday, May 29 due to some management changes at the Nathan Hale Homestead. The permission slip is due by May 20.

The Controversial Issue Project 2015 is due in one week, on Tuesday May 26. On that day students should bring their tri-fold posters and finished product, whether it is a copy of the documentary, the website address, or research paper. They should also bring the project folder with notes as this is part of the grade. If students have a device they’ve been using in school anyway, that could be a good way to show off their finished product. We’ll be inviting other classes in to stop by on Tuesday (May 26) to see the projects. They will also be on display for the Spring Open House. For this final week, in addition to finishing their chosen project, students should be finalizing their tri-fold posters. The poster is one portion of the project that has to be done at home. There are specific examples (pictures) on the project website. Detailed information about this project could also be found on the website: www.controversialproject.weebly.com.
