Hartford Stage visited our class each afternoon all last week. Students did a variety of hands-on improv activities, practicing their finest Oscar winning performances. They did all of this while going through scenes of the novel Maniac Magee, and on Friday all students received a copy of the book.
Our Bike Ride to School was on Thursday. It was a beautiful spring morning, and I am happy to report that no one rode into mailboxes, parked cars, or small vermin. Thank you to all the parents who joined us for the ride. Mission accomplished.
Field Day is on Monday, June 6. Students should bring a snack and water bottle. They could either buy or bring lunch as usual. They will be outside fora big chunk of the day doing both mental and physical activities. Go sunscreen!
Step-Up-Day is on Wednesday, June 8. This is just a short part of the morning where students go upstairs and visit their sixth grade teachers. Students will find out their new teams that same morning.
Wednesday, June 8 is also our end-of-year BBQ. Please ask the room parents if you have any questions about this. We’d love to have parents or grandparents drop by even just for a quick bite to eat.
